If you search video sites like Vimeo, YouTube, or Flickr, you’ll likely find hundreds of hits having to do with any ocean-related topic. Most of these hits, however, will have nothing to do with teaching about marine life but instead be about cooking the animals, people aboard boats holding fishing poles, pirated movies, music videos by bands with names borrowed sea creatures, or generic frills on land.

This blog is written by a layperson with interest in marine biology. And an interest in the power of sharing made possible by Creative Commons licenses.
